This short piece is by far one of the best non-political commentaries on the disastrous Los Angeles fires. It is by the remarkable Keith Morrison of Dateline.

Smartest man in the room
This interview drills down into the how far in advance they knew the storm was coming, the causes of the fires, and the actions of the politicians involved. It’s very revealing. The lack of preparedness is mind-boggling. His comments on homeless, particularly meth heads, starting fires are informative and telling. It’s a problem that should have been sorted years ago.
Michael Shellenberger is an American author and journalist known for his advocacy of nuclear power and critique of environmental alarmism. He founded Environmental Progress and authored “Apocalypse Never” and “San Fransicko.” Shellenberger’s work often challenges progressive policies on homelessness and climate change. He’s a controversial figure. We like him.
Michael Shellenberger may be the best reporter in America. Here’s what he’s learned about the fires in Los Angeles — and about UFOs.
